Funding Opportunities Call

Undergraduate Community Research and Learning Grants
In support of UC Riverside's committment to community engagement, Undergraduate Education sponsors Undergraduate Student Community Research and Learning grants.
Please note: The focus of these grants has recently changed. Funding is now reserved for undergraduate students proposing a community research or learning project. Students interested in pursuing community-based research opportunities are encouraged to submit proposals for funding. Funding in this grant category is allocated to encourage undergraduates to engage in community-based research and learning activities under the close guidance of a faculty mentor. The amount of funding available changes each quarter and the amount awarded will depend on the number of high-quality proposals received. Student travel for the purpose of presenting work at a scholarly conference will also be considered an acceptable use of the funds. Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis regardless of class standing or major.
Proposals should be prepared by the student applicant with guidance from the faculty mentor, who will sign off on the project through a letter of recommendation submitted to rebecca.spence@ucr.edu.
If you are interested in funding for general undergraduate research, please see the UCR Chancellor's Research Fellowship and other funding opportunities.
